Located in downtown Dallas, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center is considered one of the largest convention centers in the nation, and the namesake drives home a powerful message. The first woman to serve in the US Senate for the state of Texas, Kay Bailey Hutchison became one of the most impactful and powerful women in Texas before her retirement in 2013. Her efforts during her time in public office helped connect Dallas to the world for commerce and recreation.
