What to Pack: Your Trade Show Go-to Arsenal

Have you ever noticed that a superhero like Wonder Woman is never without her bracelets, sword and shield to do battle? When you go into your trade show event, there are some items that should be in your arsenal and may just make you the hero of the day.

Tip #1: taKING CARE OF YOUR BOOTH

As you prepare your booth, you may need items to tidy up or take care of messes. There are several go-to items that should always be with you. Bring all-purpose wipes to clean demonstrations and reception tables. Baby wipes work well to remove fingerprint smudges on fabric signage. And a 50/50 mix of fabric softener and water in a spray bottle is great to remove static electricity on your booth carpet.

Tip #2: oFFICE NECESSITIES ONSITE

While you do not need a full office supply cabinet, several key items will help you out on the show floor, and can fit into a small box. Keep on hand extra pens, post its, scissors, tape and a small stapler with staples. Store your small office supply box in your reception desk to give easy access to your booth staff.

Tip #3: PREPARED FOR YOUR BOOTH STAFF

There are several items you can have on hand to support your booth staff. First, be at the ready with hand sanitizer, lip balm, and mints. It is also a good idea to have a small first aid kit in case there is an accident. As an extra precaution, you can carry antacids (your booth staff will thank you for that).

Tip #4: HELP YOUR ATTENDEES ENJOY THE SHOW

In your booth, you can have a couple of easy-to-stock items for your attendees. If you can, have a water cooler available so your attendees can stay hydrated. Having a cooler gives your booth staff a chance to talk to the attendee as s/he is getting water. A charging station is also a great way for attendees to top off their mobile and not have to leave the show floor. It also gives your booth staff an opportunity to chat with your attendees while they charge.

Take the time to prepare for your upcoming shows and be the trade show hero.
