At major anime conventions and comic cons, VIZ Media needed a booth that could attract fans, showcase new IPs, and drive merchandise sales—while adapting to different show sizes. Key requirements included:

Solution
We designed a flexible consumer convention booth system built on reconfigurable frames and overlays, allowing VIZ to refresh graphics and highlight new releases at each event. The back of the booth supported retail operations with storage and staff areas, keeping the space visually dynamic and operationally efficient.
Custom 3D Elements
A standout feature of VIZ Media’s booth is the use of custom 3D elements. Themed photo-op areas, interactive displays, and immersive build-outs change annually to create shareable moments on social media. These elements engage fans, draw crowds, and give each show a fresh, exciting look.

Over the past 4–5 years, VIZ has reskinned and refreshed the booth annually. New custom 3D elements and interactive features are added each year, keeping returning fans engaged while reducing production costs. This strategy ensures VIZ stays visually relevant, maintains operational efficiency, and continuously strengthens fan engagement.
