Top Summer Tips for Fall Trade Show Trips

Back to News & Updates

Contact your exhibit house today. Too many exhibitors wait until after Labor Day to get started, only to learn they have to get to the end of the line. Don’t wait until the last minute to get your booth pulled from storage to preview – or start a new exhibit. Advance prep enables you to avoid significant rush fees to move up in line.

Meet with the booth staffing team.  Confirm your show goals, schedule training on new products and demos at the show, review the pre-at-post show promotional campaigns for the event, rehearse open ended questions to engage attendees and nail down the booth duty roster so staff can schedule their individual meetings with clients around it.

Pre-pay show services. Whether you complete your own show service forms or outsource them to your exhibit house – do it early. Many show services offer early bird rates. You can save a bundle of Benjamins submitting your forms online before the early bird deadline.

Make reservations. Airline, car service, hotel, meeting rooms, dinners with clients…book your first choices early so you won’t be left to compete with everyone else attending the event.

Schedule update meetings leading up to the show. Keep your internal and external partners in sync by meeting periodically to share the latest updates. The countdown to the show usually involves outstanding decisions, incomplete tasks, changes, and unexpected complications. The more you know, the better equipped you are to tackle them on your way to a smooth event.
