Trade Shows Bring Us Better Nutrition

All-natural, aromatic, botanical, clean, non-gmo, organic, and plant-based are the terms we frequently see, and hear about, in descriptions of our foods these days. We consume wholesome foods to maintain good health. Concerns for food purity and safety are not exactly new. Charles Pappas, author of How World's Fairs and Trade Expos Changed the World, noted that the Jamestown Tercentennial Exposition of 1907 featured exhibits devoted to the Pure Food Movement.

Today, the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) is a global organization committed to advancing the science of food through discovery, education, and innovation. The IFT Annual Food Expo is a must-attend event for 17,000 food science and technology professionals involved in solutions to advance food safety, nutrition and sustainability. As one of the largest events of its kind, the IFT Expo has been recognized by the Trade Show News Network as one of the top trade shows in the U.S.

Flavorchem is among the 1,200 exhibitors at IFT. Flavorchem manufactures flavor and color solutions for the food, beverage, and nutraceutical industries. Nutraceuticals are products derived from food sources that are purported to provide extra health benefits.

IFT Expo - FlavorchemTo stand out among 1,200 exhibitors, Flavorchem chose Ion Exhibits to design and build a custom 20' x 30' island exhibit rental. The objective was to create an inviting environment with a floor plan featuring curvilinear structures, a fresh-feel color palette, and translucent accents.

Flavorchem showcased a new cold-brew hibiscus extract in a tropical tea, a natural vanilla enhancer and a masking agent to block bitterness for use with plant-based protein products.

After designing the exhibit, Flavorchem asked us to enhance the lobby of their global headquarters office.  A halo-lit 3-dimensional logo in the entrance lobby wall serves as both branded identification and a striking visual element. On the adjacent wall, the combination of a mural graphics overlaid with three-dimensional graphic discs elevates the atmosphere in the room.

Vinyl text on the hallway walls are subtle reminders of the company’s goals that serve to create an enlightened environment for visitors and employees.
