If you are looking for additional ways to boost your booth activity and traffic, you may want to reconsider the food and beverage (F&B) option that is available at the show. Having F&B in your booth can help attract attendees and keep them there for longer engagement. So, what different ways can you use F&B in your booth?
Invite your attendees to visit your booth on the first day with an F&B option. Let your attendees know before they go there will be food and beverage at your booth on the first day, whether it is a coffee and muffin offer right when the show opens, a mid day snack, or a coffee break in the afternoon for a pick-me-up. The idea here is to invite the attendees ahead of time via email communication. By offering the F&B break on the first day, and providing the invite ahead of time, attendees can add the break to their schedule.
Provide a closing bell in-booth F&B experience. This might be a great opportunity to have a private in-booth meeting with some drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Provide a more intimate gathering with a select group of customers and prospects and perhaps even have a select demonstration ready for those attendees in that show day closing party. By having this F&B gathering on the show floor and in your booth, you can showcase your product and services with an in-booth demonstration. While many have an after-show party in a suite, why miss the opportunity to showcase your products in-booth? You can also be aware of an attendee’s desire to stop at the hotel room before dinner plans, so have your F&B in the last 30 minutes of the show hall.
Provide some F&B excitement on the last day of the show. Many attendees and even booth staff are ready to be done on the last day of the show. Inject some excitement with an F&B experience on the last show day. Have some fun with the last day, with maybe an ice cream social or something that brings back the food enjoyment. By taking a break and adding in something fun and light as your F&B, you can make the last day of the show more trans-formative and engaging. Invite attendees as they come past, maybe even your booth neighbors on the trade show floor. This is the time to acknowledge the hard work that you have put into the show and a provide an opportunity to celebrate.
Use the F&B option in your booth experience and see what engagement can be discovered with the addition of some food and beverage.
